At Okada Manila, our dedication to making a positive impact on society and the environment is at the heart of everything we do. Through a wide array of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, we strive to create meaningful change and contribute to a sustainable future. Our efforts span across various areas, including environmental conservation, education, health and well-being, and community support. Here, we outline some of the key CSR activities we are proud to have undertaken.

Tree Planting Initiatives: In our commitment to environmental stewardship, we have partnered with organizations like Nuvali (2014), ABS-CBN Bantay Kalikasan (2019), and the Motolite-PBSP Balik Baterya program (2022) for tree planting activities, contributing to reforestation efforts in critical areas such as the Marikina Watershed and La Mesa Dam.

Coastal Cleanup Drives: Recognizing the importance of preserving marine ecosystems, we organized coastal cleanups of Manila Bay in 2018 and conducted another cleanup drive in September 2023, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to the environment.

Recycling Initiatives: In December 2023, we embarked on a project to recycle used soap, donating the refurbished products to the Fresh Hope Organization, in addition to our regular pooling of lost and found items for donation to charitable institutions.

Earth Hour Observance: Okada Manila actively participates in Earth Hour, demonstrating its commitment to environmental conservation. By dimming exterior and lobby lighting and offering Earth Hour-themed food and drinks, we engage guests in this global movement. These initiatives, aimed at promoting sustainability and reducing carbon footprints, highlight our ongoing efforts to integrate eco-friendly practices into our operations.

Educational Support Programs: Our Balik Baterya Project with Motolite and PBSP in 2021-2022 allowed us to fund educational programs, including the donation of books and upcycled chairs, enhancing the learning environments for students and teachers.

Outreach and Donation Drives: We've extended our support to various communities through initiatives such as the Christmas donation, feeding, and distribution of relief goods in Mindoro Island (December 2023), and the toy drive in December 2023, aimed at bringing joy and assistance to those in need.

Support for Vulnerable Groups: Through our partnership with the House of Somang and Kuya Center for Street Children, we've conducted medical missions, feeding programs, and donation drives, reflecting our commitment to uplifting the lives of the underprivileged.

Well-being Talks and Vaccination Programs: Recognizing the importance of health in achieving a balanced life, we have initiated ongoing health and well-being talks for our team members, alongside vaccination programs for COVID-19 and the flu, benefiting both our employees and their extended families.

Blood Donation Program: In July 2023, we organized a blood donation program, emphasizing our commitment to healthcare and community well-being.

Recycling and Donations: Our efforts to promote sustainability extend to the recycling of materials and donation of items no longer in use, such as condemned uniforms donated to Goodwill Philippines in October 2021, and the innovative recycling of used soap.
